Hi Rita

Here in London the temp. is about 12 degrees C, it is grey and overcast with a chilly N.E. wind. The forecast is for more of the same over the next few days with the threat of rain to come. Well it is a Bank Holiday weekend, should we really be expecting anything different???

Ah, but sunny Bognor is still sunny! Be sure that in a day or so it will be wonderful in southern France, and will be back to normal grey & damp here Rolling Eyes

Dont miss the chance to sample some wonderful crepes in the town sqaure in Aigue. Lovely venue and so peaceful.
Take yourselves across the Carmague as well. Loads of unusual wildlife to see.

Haven't logged in for a while now.

Well after Aigue Mortes we carried along the south coast of France and the weather improved and we had some very hot days but windy in this part of the world. At Port Vendres we saw the Sardine Fete. From there we headed inland stopping at the Gorges caranca and did the lovely Gorge walk. From there we headed to Pyrenees 2000 and Font Romeu some nice walking around here but not much open at this time of the year.

We did a little of the canal du Midi staying at La Redorte a nice little spot by the canal and Trebes. After that we went to explore Carcassone. Lovely old city but of course very touristy.

We are now at Villeneuve D'Aveyron where it has turned cold again and we have had 2 days of rain, supposed to be nice today. The tourist office here, where I am now has internet access but I have my laptop and their cable is plugged into the laptop and all is working hence my opportunity to get onto MHF.

If the weather warms up a bit we would like to do some of the volcanic region otherwise we will head for a warmer part. Certainly this area deserves some exploring.

We did meet up with Gypsy Rose at Trebes which was a lovely surprise.

bye for now

Hi Rita

Great to hear from you again and that you are ok.
We cross tomorrow and will probably be at Chateau Le Verdoyer by Wednesday and will be there for a month.

You know where we are if you want to share a glass with us. Smile

Good luck on your travels.
By the way. Weatherwise we've never had a bad June in 6 years so I expect it to improve for you.
