Hi folks, I`ve been reading the posts now for some months picking up tips etc so i thought it about time to introduce ourselves,my name is Ian and my significant other half is Pat. We served our apprentership in tents then moved up to a trailer tent the July 2003 bought our new motorhome a new Compass Avantgarde 400RL and have had 3 years trouble free time with him, his name is Piere by the way Laughing
If it stops raining we are having a few days at Setthorns campsite in the New Forest next week towing our scooter to get about on and maybe a trip to the I.O.W. on the scoot of course. We hope to go to Detling motorhome & Caravan show this Saturday weather permitting, anybody else going?
Thats it for now, Ian & Pat.

Ian & Pat,

Welcome to MHF!

Now why didn't I think of scootering around the IOW on a nice day? We frequent the NF a lot and often say we'll take our bikes or do a car day trip.

How much is the ferry for scoot + 2?

Dave

Hello and welcome to the site.

I previously owned a 400RL and swear the rear lounge bed was the best night's kip ever!

Yes I agree , very comfortable and easy to make up. We both prefer the L shaped lounge rather than than the U shaped because of the extra cupboard and is also an excellent place to site the tv. You dont end up with neck ache like some people must do when you see the silly places some converters place the tv cabinet/shelf.

Ian.

Hi Rob, The name Piere came about because he is a Peugeot so had to give him a French name , we always name our vehicles, by the way our name Dilly is the name we gave our scooter a Honda Dylan other names considered for the scoot where Bob or Thomas for obvious reasons.

Ian.

Very Happy have look through Motorhome chit chat forum you will find many give their M/H names Smile

I like the scoot reference...Bob & Thomas but dilly works Smile

I don't normally call my vehicles names except if they play-up/break down but I cannot repeat the names I call them on here Laughing

MHS...Rob Very Happy
