Does anyone know of a decent site near Ayr other than the Caravan Club site in Ayr

We went to Ayre a few years ago and we stayed at Sundrum Castle, they do tourers, an ok site but our caravan was in a flight path for the airport, Shocked , but my Son and his family stayed at Craig Tara which is a Haven site, it does say on the website that htey have tourers, that was really nice, direct access to the beach, entertainment and plenty for the children to do. Depends what you are looking for, dont know any wildcamping spots sorry, we didn't have the van when we went.

We have found wild-camping difficult around Ayr - so if you need to stay near the town you will have to find a camp-site. Lower down the coast at Girvan you will find motorhomes parked just to the south of the town, overlooking the sea, in a smallish car park.

Many thanks for all those replies, I'll be checking them all out.
We're spending a few months up on the West Coast of Scotland, and are intending spending a few weeks island hopping on the Outer Hebs, calling in at Ayr on the way back
