Pam and I have been asked to a wedding on Saturday 23rd June at 2 p.m. in a church near St Pauls and have booked the m/h into the Abbey Wood site for the night before and the one after.
I am not very good at long walks so could anyone tell us how to make the journey there and back as easy and relatively cheap as possible. I have been thinking of the train to Charing Cross and then a taxi. Any better ideas? No doubt the cost of a taxi or other car the whole way to and from Abbey Wood would mean an increase in the mortgage!

Hi Alan,

Take the Cannon Street train from Abbey Wood station (7/8 min walk from the site) - they're every 30 mins or less. It's only half a mile from Cannon Street to Ludgate Hill, not worth considering a cab unless it's chucking it down.

See http://www.thetrainline.com for timetable (Abbey Wood/London Cannon Street)

Dougie.

Meant to also say that the day saver ticket is only a Fiver - unlimited travel in & around trains and tubes in London, in any direction for the same distance as Abbey Wood. It's a bargain. Smile

Thanks to you all for that. Good news indeed.
