hi all,
pick up new motorhome tomorrow ( tribute 550 ) I have mhf handover list is there anything else to to ask about, To anyone whose just picked there,s up, Does the handover take long,?
do you get a test run?
do they leave much diesel in tank?
should there be many miles on speedo?
is there a spare wheel?
This is my first motorhome and im going through all stages of panic, excitement, nerves , Any tips welcome, thanks triumf,
Im sure someone on here will be along soon to give you their experience but when you collect it if there is ANYTHING AT ALL you are not happy with, no matter how small DO NOT ACCEPT THE VEHICLE no matter how much of a hard time the salesteam give you. Give them a few days to sort it out then go back and try again.
Hopefully you will have no problems but do not drive off in it unless you are 110% happy.

hi brave words and good advise but you are going to pick your baby !!up your excited you can not see the wood for the trees and you want to take it home your not bothered about a few loose screws!!
dont listen to me be strict !!! but you are human!!!
We have just had ours for about 4weeks. Make sure you take your time and check everythink. But I though I had and stll missed a few minor things (its back in next week to get them sorted out) Its had when all you want to do is love it and get away in it.
handover take long,? nearly 2hours
do you get a test run? already driven a demo one
do they leave much diesel in tank? less than a 1/4. so twisted and got them to fill it up, nearly £70
should there be many miles on speedo? ours had 12miles on it
If you read my recent post (5 mins ago) regarding my brothers whos new van purchsed broke down 3 miles from the dealer then I would take it for a good test run just to make sure everything is firing okay.
BTW his needed repairs at Fiat and not only did he miss he bank holiday away he waited 2 weeks for it to be re-delivered
Hope yours goes okay and many happy a journey to you
