I have been looking for a checklist to aid me in the purchase of a used MH. Do we have such a thing on the site?

Yes.. please point me to it.. Very Happy

No.. We could, with all the experience here, make and excellent one I'm sure, We could have a generic checklist that applied to all MHs with things like Checking Finance and Service History ETC We could even have addon sheets for particular models and things to look out for. (Russell would be good here Smile ) A bit of brainstorming on a couple of threads and then a kind soul with lots of time to collate it and produce the check lists, easy peasy Very Happy

I was searching for one yesterday before collecting my van. I probably forgot most of the things I was going to ask and look at.

One important point is to check that all the bits you've ordered have been fitted. Just as I was about to hand over the money it suddenly dawned on me that there was no bike rack. I had to drive to the workshop to have it fitted!

Hi, Jim

Puss and Nuke have pointed you towards a pickup checklist.

A little while ago, I wrote a few beginners' guides. They're probably not complete, and written with my whole 1 years' experience, but they might be a good start.

Check Motorhome Essentials, on the roght hand side, under "Pages".

Gerald

Yes, Ive seen that MHF handover before, its OK for picking up a new van from a dealer, but there are gaping holes in it expecially if you are buying used. I will make one for myself and then post it. Meanwhile if anyone has any items they think should be included they can let me know. Cheers
