Hi, enjoying the new van? Any particular likes, dislikes?
We found the table too big, so we got a sturdy plastic one with fold up legs of a size we liked, took the legs off the big one so we could still use it to make double bed up and the plastic one goes in the cupboard with the original.
Oh G*d! - While we're talking Pusser....... I'm a bit new,and have missed some things. - Whilst looking for some bits for the van, his account of travels in France/Spain came up on the search. I couldn't eat my tea! When the hysterics had subsided, I found I had cleared sinuses - first time for 7 years. The graphic account of the porta-potti incident and the spray jets has nearly finished it for him indoors needing evidence to certify me. And the last van 'Two Loos la trek' now graphically explained. So I don't feel half so bad about all the faux pas this end now. Hope he's found. - H x
The Globebus is just magnificent. It drives beautifully and so to my grumps.
The handbrake is still designed for a Gibbon.
The spinning seats I presume have added height so my line of vision is marred by the rod that guides the screen blinds and I think the there is a plastic trim missing which hides it but that will block even more. I may have the seat unspinnable which should bring me down a bit which should be alright and I don't need a spinning seat anyway as it is not part of the living accommodation.
No big prob but it will not hold two big gasses, only two medium ones.
The step up into the side door is just to big a step but too smaller step for an electric one in my view.
The oven rattles but I can take out the bit that does as KB advised but I have not tried that out yet.
The vibration noise is the passenger seat which probably needs tightening up but I suspect if someone sat on it, it would be silent.
Still have not used it in earnest but that will be remedied next weekend when we go to see my Mum and then off to Mawgan Porth for two nights and then back home.
I also think that 32k for what I have is incredible value for money compared with UK margues offering much less for more bucks.
So a happy bunny.
p.s. we haven't tried the table or the bed. I also had a warning light fault which Chelston Motorhomes fixed straight away for me even though I did not buy it from them. Brilliant service department, very friendly and helpful staff and the place to head for in times of stress.
I have named her Porky and she will have to be a female Porky because I keep calling her she, possibly because she is beautiful, not like those rugged, thunderous RV's which must be male. I may well trash the nickname of my missus and start calling her Bess so it all ties in.
