Hi All,
Looking for a new MH with Bunk Beds.
I'd like one where the passenger seat revolves round and comfortable seating in the rear.
I'd like a big garage as well.
Am looking to spend under £25K for a neally new van.
Anybody got any ideas before I start trawling the dealerships?
There is a Ford based Rimor which I once took a fancy too. Twin bunk beds at back facing fore and aft next door to a large bathroom. In the middle a dinnette and kitchen and huge over head bed. Canot remember what happens with the cab seat though. I think aircon (cab) was standard.
Most motorhomes with bunk beds have the beds at the rear and seating at the front Reevesy, so you would have to have the seating at the front, mind you if you want a swivel cab seat it would be more useful if that seat swiveled onto a seating area.
We had the Elddis Autoquest 160 with twin rear bunks, but the storage space was not as big as some of the other makes, if we wanted more storage we had to disperse with the bottom bunk which made this a fruitless exercise hence its parting to make way for our current can.
Some CI's and Dethleffs have transverse rear bunks with more storage than the Elddis.
If you want to spend under 25k for a nearly new one then I'd say that you need to look at CI, Chausson and similar rather than the more expensive German and Italian ones. we had aLaika which we found excellent, but it's of a group of makes which will be quite a few years old to be under 25k. Chausson have been excellent value of late.
Buying abroad might be another option, if you are up for it.
Good luck!

At That sort of money I would second either the CI 656 or THe Chasson Flash, We looked at both of them beforse we bought our's and thought they were both good vans. If I had to pick one of them it wold be the Chausson
I bought a 656 in April last year and have lived full time in it since. Bunks go side to side and are about 1 metre wide and full width. Longitudal bunks are only 24" wide. You know it makes sense.
