I was a bit dismayed to realise I have a huge dealer advert showing his company logo, his telephone number and that saying that he does Sales and Rental right on my nice new shiny backside on Porky. They don't even do this on cars except window stickers or bumper stickers. How can I get it off without sodding up my nice shiny white body work.

If it's stuck on try a hairdrier on warm setting.

Many thanks I will ttry that. Trouble is I can't see how it is stuck on as it seems almost to be painted on but I expect it is not.

If it is vinyl lettering - which it probably is , instead of the hairdryer I would pour near boiling water on it, that will soften the decal and with finger nail or a non metallic scraper, house spatula is good catch the edge and peel off. It has always worked for me. Better that first than craze the gel coat.

If it is a UK dealer, you could always phone/email them and explain their logo has become all scratched, sun bleached or something else and looks awful.

Ask if they will send a replacement to you and how you should remove the damaged one when new one arrives. Very Happy

Many thanks for that tip. I will give that a go first followed by a blow dry after. APril showers at the moment so I don't think the missus will let me take her hair dryer out in the rain. Typical. When I want to work I can't and when I don't want to work I have too. Sad

Why dont you ring the dealer and ask them why there is graffiti Shocked all over your umptee thousand vehicle?? Then tell them the advertising fee is £260 per year Laughing . Id also ask them exactly when you agreed to be a mobile advert for their business and tell them that unless they remove it they will be responsible for any damage caused during the removal process!! Twisted Evil

Tell them to remove it.
