Ken,

I've just taxed my van on line and they taxed it as a Light Goods Vehicle where as on the V5C it's classed as PLG Private Light Goods. So I saved £5

So it's either £180 for PLG or £175 for LGV

What does your V5C state for taxation class?

All the details are HERE

Don

Good Evening Don

Thanks for swift answer.

My "Log Book says Disabled.

Am thinking of registering the Campervan as PLG so that I can use the Motability Scheme to "rent" a Ford Cmax so that my mobility scooter can be easily lifted in to large boot by a crane. Our Fiesta is too small for the scooter.

I can drive &/or walk the scooter into Wanderwagon3 but it is a bit of a pain as ramps are needed. However without it I would get nowhere these days.

Have just had 3 nights at Peebles and 3 at Moffat . Our first trip out since my 3rd right hip op in January. Not a "nice thing".We managed but it is not easy . We had a pleasant time mostly looking at super gardens.

Hope to get another trip in then decide if we can manage a month in France as usual in September. Was impressed last year with a C&CClub Holiday Site we tried. May give them a go again though need 230V to charge scooter every so often.

By the way re UK Campsites and the PM I sent you and "Twooks" the black ball seems to have turned white and I can access the members pages again.

I'msooooo pleased.

Hope you are both fit and changing your horizon.

Safe roads

Ken.

Ken,

If you get the higher rate of mobility allowance you will be exempt VED or something like that.

Can't find the details at present.
