Hi everyone......Hope you had a good bank holiday weekend, we are trying to plan our France trip for the beginning of July.....we are trying to find campsites which are near lakes or rivers suitable for canoeing on the eastern side of France. We will be travelling to Epinal for a few days and then looking to go further south towards nice.

Hope some of you well travelled people may be able to help us......

Hi
The Verdon is great, many campsites and the best aire ever on the resevoir.
The Ardeche is great for canoeing and again many campsites and aires.
Slightly quieter but just as good is the Lot but this has less in the way of campsites.
If it's a lake you are looking for the Annecy is a must.
