My '99 640 doesn't have the "Camping Car Kit" installed, so Airides will cost ~ £570.

I've just had a quote for Firestone Ride-Rite at £389, plus £65 for the gauge.

The Ride-Rite seems to be a more complex installation, requiring drilling the chassis rail, but retains the original bump-stop and doesn't need the "CCK".

I'm assuming that they both work, and work in the same way, but has anyone got personal knowledge to help me differentiate?

I'm not entirely sure I'll fit either, as we're seriously thinking of changing to a model with a garage, and the expense won't necessarily benefit a buyer who doesn't need or want to carry a scooter on the back

Well lets start by saying that the air suspension such as Airide is not just about carrying a scooter. It is
about better road holding
about better cornering
about easier levelling.
But if you are serious about changing, why bother save your money for the next van.
