Hey quick question. How often should you clean your fresh water tank? And how do you do it?

Thanks

Never cleaned mine. Use the water for everything. Just drain it after use so doesn't go rancid.

Ah Ok Krull, I was just reading the service manual and it talks about bleaching it every so often.

Do you need to purge the system after using them dave? or is the water safe to drink after using them?

I know this is probably a dumb question but I just want to be sure.

Thanks

I used to live on a boat, so have often lived off tank water. Many houses have tanked drinking water. Personal preference, but I would rather drink a bit of green algae than bleach.

Hi

I have never cleaned the fresh tank - been living in the van over six months now and I am alive and well!

Thanks guys, do you drink from your tanks or use bottled water?

Sounds like I don't need to worry about it too much.

Hi,

I always put an egg cup's worth of Milton in the tank when I refill.
Same with the waste tank after I empty it. Don't know if it helps, but I got 1.5 L of the stuff.
