We have had our van back to Brownhills Newark last week as part of our trip away. We used there overnight at Newark for 2 nights and althought I know they do get a lot of bad press there over night is a nice enough place to stop for a night or two. Free coffee, showers, pool, sauna ETC.

We also found that all the other people stopping over there were very freindly and everyone seemed to look after and clean up after them selves.

Does anyone else have any oppinions on overnight stop at Brownhills?

Richard...

Yes;

We've used it several times since we've bought the van. My theory is you've obviously paid for this facility somewhere in your dealings with them so you might as well get your moneysworth out of them.
The pool and jaccuzi are great and we fill up a flask from the machine before going to bed so we have coffee on tap in the morning Wink

The meals in the pub over the road aren't up to much though.

Greetings,

We have stayed at Brownhills overnight on many an occasion Richard and it is a good facility, we often stay overnight if on passage South or when we have had to go for any work needed.

I have not tried the pool though.

We sometimes get a meal in the restaurant or over the road from KFC (thats the main reason for buying from Brownhills Newark, the KFC LOL !!!) Smile

As you say some people are friendly, we have often met the same people on successive visits and strike up a good banter at times.

We are looking forward to the Brownhills Summer Spectacular at Newark showground at the end of June.

I have stopped there once or twice and wasn't impressed Sad Its litterally right next to the A1 and the traffic noise kept me up most of the night. It could do with some trees or a fence along the back of it to block the traffic noise.
