I emailed their customer services a few days ago, asking if they had available or could provide a list, similar to their booklet we carry in the motorhome, this is the reply I received.... if you are also interested, perhaps you would care to email them as well, the more the merrier, as we may get them quicker.

Dear Carol

Thank you for your email and for your interest in Sainsbury’s. I can appreciate that you would like to see GPS information about our stores, so that you and other customers would be able to quickly locate our stores on motorhome maps.

I am sorry to say that we do not have GPS information available yet. I have, however, passed your suggestion on to our Store Development and Website Moderation teams for future consideration. If enough customers would like to find us on motorhome maps, we would certainly do our best to provide such information on our website.

Thank you once again for taking the time to write. We really value our customers' feedback, as it always shows us the areas where we feel we can improve. I also hope that you will continue to shop with us.

Kind regards

Maria Kardel
Customer Manager

Carol

Hi, Carol.

You might like to know that you can get Sainsbury's as POIs in TomTom or Navman formats from:

http://www.getoutguide.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/poidownloads/

as well as lots of other desirable locations.

It's free, as well.

If, like me, you use a Garmin GPS you'll need to use a converter program like POIEdit.

Wrong approach, Carol.

You tell you that you already HAVE a Tesco stores POI file, and that you would normally prefer Sainsburys, but if they make themselves so much harder to find ....

Dave your are right of course, and I always did use Sainsbury's (even though a 5 miles longer trip) but got a bid fed up with them before Christmas, and went back to Tesco's....but when away, the nearest will do.... but I take your point...

And to Roy, I did say that I knew there were some available, but as to their accuracy I don't know, and I do have them, but as Tesco's have now provided their own, though the opposition should as well...

Anyone shop at Asda's or know if Asda or Morrison or Waitrose actually provide their own... if you do, please do let me know

Carol

I obtained my POIs from Pocket GPS world and that included Sainsburys.

Most supermarket POI's covered here:

http://www.tomtomfree.com/POI_collections.htm

in the "collected supermarkets" download.
