I've just found this post & whilst I'm not with AOL,I've Just discovered than when I save a google image to include in a post my pc is converting them to bitmap bmp which the forum doesn't accept only had this problem for about Two days now

You may find this is because the image being hosted is a bitmap image, you can check this by right clicking on the image and selecting 'properties' from the menu that appears, in the window that opens; look where it states 'type:', you'll probably find it says 'bitmap image'.
As zebedee has said; most image manipulation applications will convert it, including 'paint' which is included with windows, simply open the file, then choose save as from the file menu, in the save as dialogue box select the prefered type (gif, jpeg etc) from the save as type drop down box.
Alright Lee I'll have a look,..I chose several different images of things & they ALL seem to convert to bitmap ONLY a two day old problem.
I'd better go back to slate & chalk
