Hello all,

Just back from a great holiday in France with the Family. We have over 5,000 photographs between us all. Was just playing around with my 1,000 or so and wanted to try and produce some kind of CD with Photos and Movie clips from my Nokia N95.

I have started with Nikon PictureProject, done some Sepia ones of the 16 Stars of the Holiday and put them into Picmotion movie as a starter. However, when I click the Upgrade button their is no page to display and I cannot find anything on the Nikon website.

To put you in the picture, I want to make a DVD with Film intro, snaps with music over the top and maybe some videos too, in PAL format.

Anyone help or have any recomendations?

Trev.

I know nothing about Picmotion but I do produce Slide Shows using a product called Proshow Gold from Photodex. It does have the ability to include video clips in the slideshow although I've never used this feature. You can also add soundtracks. There's a 15 day free trial download if you're interested.

It includes motion and transition effects as well as some basic image and audio editing.

If you need real editing of your images then take a look at Photoshop Elements.

Hi Trev

Like Colin I use Proshow Gold. I have used it commercially for a number of years. I can remember one wedding customer saying he put it on his very big wide screen TV with surround sound system at a family BBQ and no one wanted to come outside for the BBQ, they all sat watching the presentation.

Commercially I am always careful with music copyright and always get the customer to supply music he owns.

When I first used it I struggled with computer memory but soon realised you did not need to use full size images as they were only going to be view on screen. I would recommend you practise first with short presentations until you are fully conversant with it before going for the biggy

Thanks for the replies folks,

I had been playing around with Muvee Reveal but it keeps chopping up the videos.

Will look at your recomendations,
Thanks again.

Hello,

I have just downloaded the evaulation copy of ProshowGold and when I instert a video the sound is distorted!. Is this because I am using a trial version?. It does put a banner all the way accross the photoslides but I cannot see any reference to the sound, backing tracks play fine.

Anyone?

Trev.
