Hi.
We have saved over £400 in the last year or so Very Happy (& more if you count informed decisions/purchases made by using this site Razz )
So far we have saved.................

5% Discount with Comfort insurance Cool
10% Discount on the last 3 return ferry trips with Seafrance Cool

Also and more importantly... I learned on the forum about the £50 vouchers from Fiat to cover/go towards the cost of fuel for attending recalls.

We applied for vouchers for these recalls & then things went horribly pear shaped (thanks to Fiat customer dis-services Rolling Eyes )
As a consequence of what we were put through by Fiat & info gleaned as a member Wink We were able to get a free 1st annual service saving us £230 Shocked & we were still sent £50 in M&S vouchers Idea

We also negotiated a £100 discount off our dealers annual habitation/damp check fee.

All of which is due to membership of this forum Razz
So a big thanks to MHF & all who gave advice & shared their knowledge. Wink

Catherine

Hi Catherine

Can you help a little more regarding some of these discounts please.

Who is eligable for the £50 Fuel voucher? I've looked on the forum but can't find any info Embarassed

Likewise with the first service and M&S vouchers?

Did Fiat discount the habitation check or the dealer?

Thanks for your help and happy motoring.

Barry

Hi Barry.
I have altered my original post to hopefully show that the M&S vouchers referred to were issued by Fiat instead of 'Fiat vouchers' (intended by Fiat to compensate owners for expenses incurred in fuel attending) recalls Crying or Very sad
NB> I had to push for M&S vouchers instead of Fiat ones Wink
Original Thread mentioning this is linked below.

http://www.motorhomefacts.com/ftopict-44279-.html%A350+fiat

I negotiated the free 1st Fiat service after "things went horribly pear shaped (thanks to Fiat customer dis-services Twisted Evil )"

I hope that not many other members have been put through what we went through to end up with this remarkable freebie & to be honest it would take too long to explain what happened & given that we have now traded in the offending X250, it is not an episode that I wish to dwell on...suffice it to say, it pays to stick to your guns when treated appallingly Shocked

The discount with the dealer is entirely as a result of my badgering them for one whole year over the farcical Fiat x250 "faults"

Bottom line..If you are treated badly or have a faulty product & have little or no recourse through legal routes, then stamp shout & at least get a discount or something.
Hope this helps Confused
A search on here of the X250 threads is a mine of info & proved invaluable in helping me to obtain the discounts.
Regards Catherine
