in a earlier post i asked advice about a flat battery , this afternoon i got chance of a 100a heavy duty 12v leisure battery off a friend its about 12 months old and got a 5 year guarantee i dont know what amp my old battery is but it is gel this other one is i believe a sealed lead one , firstly will it need to be vented my friend says not , will it matter if its more or less in amps , is the switch on the blue box ( from gel to lead ) a very small red slider type switch , i had a quote for a gel battery at £199 and a lead for £120 so my friends at £25 does seem a bargain and it looks if it will fit under the seat nicely..regards john

Yep, the small slider switch on the Electroblok is to change from lead acid to gel. . . which [as far as I know] do not need a vent pipe

As Vic says for slider

If sealed no vent is needed

Is your gel a 100? If different do you have to change value on the menu?

I think Sandj is referring to one of those modern all singing all dancing control panels if your 584 is the same as my 574 2 gauges 2 rocker switches just cange the slider switch on the electoblock to acid and away you go. Very Happy

As Hogan said, if you have 2 rocker switches and guages it does not relate to you.

The menu is on newer models.
