Hi

As I set up my tripod this evening it broke so these were taken at 15 seconds at F8. I was quite pleased to get something, and surprised lol

Nice one Stew.

You stand rock steady unlike us old coggers who tend to wave around a bit.

Mrs Zeb prefers not to use a tripod for shots like these.

She hand-holds with an exposure of around a thirtieth to an eighth, and likes the "artistic "(?) effect of the random squiggles it produces due to camera shake.

Digital cameras are so brilliant in low light situations that she rarely fails to get a good shot.

Hi

Its interesting in that on other forums I visit - to do with photography everyone uses a tripod and they get the same shots I shot twenty years ago for newspapers I worked for at the time.

I quite like what I shot last night, kind of summed up the excitement of the night

Hi Stew

That's precisely why Sian doesn't use her tripod. Wink Very Happy

You've seen her work (though not her photos) - experimental or what!!!!!!

Hi Stew. I can't hold a still camera for long, but we visited the Vinaros carnival in Spain early this year, The carnival took 2 hours to pass, I filmed for an hour with the camcorder, I had to knock it down to 10 mins to show at the video club and the guys won't believe I didn't use a tripod.
Cheers sid

This photo only took 7 secs at F2.8
I was trying to capture a "shooting star"

It was taken on Halloween at Moorhampton CC. The night was cold and sky crystal clear with very little light pollution.

The attached file is a crop from one small area but the image is repeated for every star captured.

Perhaps the shooting star was an alien craft and I caught the occupants floating down to earth - or maybe I was a bit wobbly.
