I have a complete Maplins portable system ATM (which includes the excellent Comag FTA 12v receiver) which I'd want about £40 + carriage for. Probably not really worth it for you unless you needed the dish etc. too as you can pick up a new receiver on its own from Maplins for £50.

Andyman,
If you are talking freesat then the only options are the Alba group HD boxes, Alba, Bush, Goodmans or Grundig.
If you mean free to air satellite then there is a massive choice from about £50.
Gerry
I use Freesat as a generic term, as any free to air box will pickup Freesat.
I have now found a unused Silvercrest Camping Sat System £40 so cheap enough to buy just for the 12v receiver.

Not really I don't think.
The O/P asked specifically for a 12v receiver, are any of those 12v?

That sounds a decent bargain, should be same FTA Comag 12v receiver as the Maplin kit.
There's a lot of confusion with the "Freesat" and "Free to Air" terminology, mostly it's irrelevant. Any FTA (Free to Air) satellite receiver will pick up the channels that "Freesat" offers except the high definition channels - and currently high definition TV doesn't strike me as a priority for most motorhomes. The only other difference AFAIK is that "Freesat" has a superior (7 day?) electronic programme guide.
