Why don't you phone Sky and ask them, but don't mention europe if you know what I mean

The card has to be matched to the box. If you use the same box in your home and van then no problem. Otherwise ring sky before you go away and match the card to your van box. You will need to tell them the serial number of your card and box from memory. But do'nt tell them you are using the card in your van or they won't do it.

Hi

I quite agree about matching the SKY box serial number to the card etc with SKY.

Trawl through www.saynoto0870.com for the latest geographical numbers to get through to SKY.

One thing I do not know, is why not tell them the SKY receiver is in a motorhome? Admittedly, I keep that fact from them too, but why? Is there a legal bit somewhere? I have in the past searched the SKY website and cannot find anything...

You wont need to bother paring up the card for just the normal 6 mixs from Sky it is only the Sport and Movies that need the card paring up.

Alternatively you could get Dreambox and this will work without the need to pair the card to the box

There's no problem in telling them you're watching SKY in a motorhome.
That's quite legal.
The problem is that SKY does not have a licence to transmit a signal OUTSIDE the UK, so if they knowingly allow anyone to watch it outside their licenced territory they are obliged to do something about it i.e. switch off the offending card. So you only use your motorhome in the UK, don't you? DON'T YOU?!
It is not possible for SKY to find out from where you are watching their programs - unless YOU tell 'em. And whatever you do, don't call 'em from abroad to complain you can't get a signal !

Thanks for the info re using SKY in a motorhome.

I have seen SKY engineers installing SKY on static caravans so presumed it must be OK.
