The red coloured wire to the left is 12v power in - so that is all OK. I do not need to touch that.
The grey coloured wire to the right carries a "signal" (SKY) to the TV loacted at the rear of the motorhome.
The black thing in the middle has three of those red/white/yellow wire things coming out of it and carries signals to the flip down monitor at the front. The flip down monitor at the front is actually a monitor with built in Freeview. I select "A/V" on the monitor and then I ccan watch SKY there.
What I am trying to achieve is this.....
Additional TV at the front on a wall mount bracket. My questions are thus....
1) Is there such a thing as a splitter device that can be used with the grey wire as seen on the right. What I am trying to do is get two wires out of one hole effectively.
2) The scart thing with the red/yellow/white wires coming out - where can I buy another of those? Then, can I push the "new" one into the existing one and effectively use that as the splitter?
Would etiher of the above suggestions work or could I lose the picture quality?
If you have any better ideas, please suggest them. This is my project for the last few days of 2009.
I am not buying an additional TV, but will simply move the one from the back to the front as needed. The principal reason being that I do not think the flip down monitor is large enough. It is ideal to use when not on hook up etc, but for general day to day viewing, I want a larger screen towards the front.

If you intend to use the same TV, why not use the existing outputs. Simply unplug one connection from the back and plug in your new connection that way there is no loss of signal. There is always a price to pay for using splitters which you may or may not notice depending on how good the original signal is but you could use a splitter on your grey wire which I hope is coax.

Maplin's sell a Scart Audio/Video sender and receiver kit.
You just plug the sender into your sky box output and the receiver into the tele.
You then can move the tele where ever, and not worry about having to wire the Scart/Audio leads, just provide a 12v supply.

Peedee - I am not certain I follow - are you basically saying that using my existing one RF out hole - ie where the grey wire is, I simply have another wire just hanging about, connected to the TV at the front. When I want to use that TV, I simply swap wires about in the RF out hole at the back?
TR5 - I had thought of this type of suggestion, but there would be a lack of 12v towards the front.

I would try one of >these< first, cheap and easy to fit. If it does turn out to have too much loss you can always remove it.
If you cannot get at the rear very easily to change over a "flying Lead" another alternative might be to put a little accessible extension on it. Again it would incur some loss of signal but not so much as a splitter, perhaps only half a dB compared to 3dB with a splitter.

Pippin, but Russell is already using the RF output for his TV. Is there a distance limit for Scart outputs although I cannot imagine it applying in a motorhome?
Russell you could also use a coax switch fitted to the RF output but I cannot find one on the Maplins site. They still give a fairly high loss though.
I see Maplins also do a more compact version of the splitter >here<
