Just bought MY MH which is fitted with an Alden Gosat dish - this worked fine when demonstrated to me - first time I use it the numbers go up - automatically when pressed - but the dish doesn't move.

It won't budge manually either (although I've only used light pressure so far) Is there anything that I can do? (Additional problem is that I am now back at home in S. Spain.....)

Can't find anything in English on the Alden website, any advice would be most welcome

Tony

Can we assume that no power is going to the motor? If so check for something simple first like a blown fuse. I am not familier with these but Roadpro are the importer to the UK and I would think calling them is your best bet. They have been helpfull to others on this site Smile

Thanks! The motor is running - so I think it may be a grub screw or something that has become dislodged - I suppose I want to know if there are any user serviceable parts that I could tackle - I will contact roadpro in the new year before starting anything. We will make do with DVD's in the meantime (although I'm not sure what we would be able to get on the small dish this far south - our house Sat Dish is 3.2m!)
