Good pics, but who in their right mind goes climbing mountains in the snow and 60mph winds ?
Hope you are the one paying for Search and Rescue to be on alert.
There were about 200 people on the hill. All of us experienced and properly equipped. The wind was cold but not a problem in that you could stand up in it and balance happily in it. It's only when winds reach about 80 I have a problem beacause then I get lifted off my feet!
We are all sane and enjoy the challenges of mountaineering in these conditions, the ones that bother me are the family in trainers and a party of 10yr olds in wellies!
Climbing in these conditions with modern equpment and knowledge is far safer than driving a motorhome on a motorway.

I am wondering why some members have to pop in posts like this without knowing the full facts? sorry it just puzzles me.

Which reminds me of our walk up Ben Nevis; my most vivid visual memory (it was a grey, wet day) was the astonishing female footwear. Talk about being slaves to fashion!
Yes I took the motorhome and it was a wonderful haven to return home to after a hard day on the hill. Dave your comment reminds me of 3 girls in high heels trying to climb Snowden, this was several years ago and in summer, amazingly they got almost to the top before giving up!
Lovely to see your photos - I have walked to the Devils Kitchen from Idwal many times but not in snowy conditions - it's good to see what it looks like up there in the snow, I am full of envy! Thanks for posting the pics mhaze.
And the ones who go out with no maps? (& I don't mean GPS only!!) We've been having lunch by Red Tarn, in light cloud, & asked the way to Striding Edge - we denied all knowledge of it.......
Hiya Mick
glad you enjoyed Wales - I'm the lucky one to live here! Am about to become a MH owner, just wondered what type of MH you have coz you were warm and cosy in it in the middle of a freezing winter.... and looking for any advice before buying - thinking of an Autosleeper VW Clubman or Peugeot Executive = what do you think?
