Welcome to Motorhomefacts, we are a thriving motorhome community (Largest in Europe). Why Not JOIN NOW and get instant access to more of the website. It costs nothing to join and only takes a few minutes. We have 200,000 different people visiting our site monthly and this amount of motorhomers in one place guarantees a fast response to any questions you may have. We also have unique facilities not found elsewhere such as our Online Logbook, stopover tracker, Motorhome directory with Ebay type feedback and the largest repository of motorhome campsites reviews found anywhere
Earlier I made the suggestion that we compile a series of short articles covering all the FAQs asked on MHF. It will save so much duplication of effort and posts on the site.
Here is the list of topics suggested so far. All additions to the list are welcome, via PM or below, but, especially welcome, is
a few minutes of your time
PLEASE volunteer to write a short article on one ( or more) of the topics that will make it clear to a newbie- or anyone else- how to do any of the subjects covered.
If you'll do that it will grow into such a useful resource. The finished topics will go somewhere yet-to-be decided on the site and can be printed off individually and taken away with you
I'll keep a record of volunteers and the topic they are covering to avoid duplication so let me know. We already have a brilliant one by cronkle on hooking up.
What a very good way to while away time this weekend....!
I have put a star (*) against topics that are spoken for.

I would find it all very useful to keep it in the camper, it might be a good idea to have a printable version, maybe with a space to put applicable motorhome details in against each topic,
IE
1, Gas = Red 13kg
2, leisure batteries = 2 x 110ah = 220ah
3, you get what I mean.
Hi Kevin....you've just made me realise I didn't introduce this topic very well. Anyone who has just come in and didn't read earlier posts will not have the vaguest what I'm on about.
Thanks and see above - in a minute- for the amended version.
Great idea and how usefu a sort of idiots guide to everything!! Sorry but am not experienced enough to write a how to, but I could volunteer to be the idiot..........................................

Bet you you could write on any number of topics Carol. You've written ever so much useful advice for newbies - look back at your postings.

Awwww ta Grizz I have come over all warm and fuzzy now
There are a large number of topics on Grizzly's list. Even if you've only been motorhoming a year, or just a few months, I'm sure there's something a lot of MHF members could contribute.
You can write a full text, list bullet points, write a couple of sentences, a few paragraphs, whatever you know that might help a newcomer to our great pastime.
If you can contribute, please PM Grizzly to 'reserve' your topic.
Good idea Grizzly, perhaps an explanatory list of all the many acronyms used in the posts. As a new subscriber I have to wrestle with a lot of them, which rather slows my understanding of the content.

Barrie.
Now that's a good one Barrie. I'd not thought of that and you're right - we're all keen users of abbreviations like CS, CL, ACSI, ECU and so on
I'll start on a list now - all contributions gratefully received.
Thanks Zeb and Gerald for help and encouragement. Is there any way this thread could be made a sticky for a bit and then I won't have to go searching the forum ? Half and hour ago MHF was soooooo....slow.
