Can anyone suggest a dealer in the Midlands that can install a Maxview Crankup on my Autosleepers Symbol?

This is a new MH so I am reluctant to get a drill out on the roof myself (unless someone can reassure me it is a simple job!)

There are few dealers near me that are listed on the Maxview dealer map and the nearest one said they can only supply - not fit which is a bit surprising!

Any suggestions?

Peter

Try Autosleepers Service Centre.

I'd be surprised if they won't do it for you, and Willersey is not too far away.

I fitted one on my old Safari and it's quite straightforward, I remember you need quite a large hole cutter, measure twice drill once, be brave and save yourself some money

32mm hole cutter and your away! Carefully drill with smaller pilot if your not sure about your roofs construction, once your through the outer roof skin, look in and check for supports or conduit/wires - if so, fill in hole and drill somewhere else. If you see insulation, carry on drilling your pilot hole. If sucessful with no problems, go in with the hole cutter! When we fit we also have an expensive meter for testing the roof for wires (live or dead) and supports... comes in handy to work out where we are going to put the hole.

Don't forget you need another small hole for the coax to come through the roof, but that one should be easier.

As the prev member said, cut once, measure five times! Remember to allow for the diameter of the ceiling controls inside (about 18cm).
