I have a 'globesat' manual dish which has the same problems...

One trick I have found which works well is to locate the signal, tighten up the 'vertical' axis, then very carefully lower the mast until the bottom of the dish makes contact with the top of the motorhome, then tighten it up.

Stops the dish wobbling in the wind. Unorthodox, but works a treat!

Kenny, you can't replace the dish on your crank up as the lnb position is set up especially for the crank up dish. A perforated dish will not help in gusty winds like we have here in the UK, as the pressure differences behind and in front of the dish do not have time to equalise. It is a falacy that perforated dishes are better in wind.

Hi Kenny

sorry I cant help with your dish drama but I am a windsurfer too and looking at the possibility of heading down to Leucate in our MH.

Any top tips you give me would be great.

Campsites, windsurfing spots that kind of thing.

I have the European Kite and Windsurfing guide which is great for locations but not great for camping info.

Hangloose!

Colin
