Hi Grizzly,
I always recommend the carrying of a digital camera (or disposable) in all my vehicles so any accident can be photographed, including the licence plates of all vehicles involved.
This can resolve any future problems where the other party denies responsibility and the insurance company will always appreciate on the spot piccies.

Add reflective jacket / tabbard for every occupant & put it ON before getting out of the vehicle if breakdown happens [or police request you get out of the vehicle as you can be fined for not wearing one !
