I have a list of weighbridges covering England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. It runs to 78 pages with about 18 listings per page in the following format: -

If this is any use let me know and I can email it (don't know how to upload!) to you
David
Ps I don't know where I got it or if it's copyright, I found it lurking in an old folder!
have made two attempts to get weighed. the first had closed some time ago; the second had approach ramps which caused my jacks to ground before getting on to the platform. so i will have to try again.
I knew I'd googled this a while back, Hopefully this site will meet your weighbridge needs, first is the suppier of the info, a thanks email might not go amiss, as this will have taken a lot of compiling, the second takes you to the database itself, just click the area you are interested in.
David..if the list is up to date it would be a useful addition to the FAQs section.
Would you consider adding a paragraph or two to the beginning by way of an introduction to newcomers about the different types of weighbridge - ie ones that just give gross weight and those that measure each axle separately and the reasons that each have their uses ?
There is already a very good article on the meaning of all the different terms used to specify different weight in the FAQs section.

Grizzly,
I'm not sure how up to date it is, but there seems to be a large number of weighbridges in most areas - all have telephone numbers so easy to check before visiting.
I'm not sure that I am qualified to advise on different weighbridge types, so wouldn't be comfortable writing a paragraph introduction.
There is no problem in supplying the list to anyone who wants it.
I think that the phone numbers for each local trading standards offfice would be most useful as they can supply up to date (ish) information for their area.
