I have a freeview aerial linked to a TV with an inbuilt freeview. Am I correct in assuming that if I go abroad I will have to use a satellite dish and a Freesat box and ignore the freeview bit on the TV?
Thank you. Colin

Youa are spot on. I can get UK freeview as far South as the Loire with my Maplins Satelite kit. Usually get away with just sticking the dish onto the van with the sucker plate.

Something like that. We pick up various BBC, ITV etc the stuff you would normally get with your TV Top box.

Its quite easy to set up once you have the knack. But obviously not the same as Sky and a big dish.

Of course if you are fluent at German,French etc you can go onto alternative satelites and watch local stuff.
