After trying every part of our Satellite system I have given up.
Haven't had any working system for 3 months now.
The system is a SATlight Crank up with a Grundeg LNB and Bush Free Sat box.
I haven't be unable to get a working signal, the maplin Sat finder beeps, I turn down the gain move the dish beeps again and normally I have a working signal.
Now I have a signal, dish pointing the same direction as the house dish.
no picture, so pop to maplins change LNB, Still same problem
So change cable from LNB to Free Sat box, still nothing.
Try free sat box in the house, working fine.
try old LNB on Maplin camping dish, working fine.
the angle of the dish is marking for UK and Europe 35deg, this angle worked before.
Sat box pushes out 19V's to the LNB.
Any Help?
You have to be pretty much exactly pointing in the right direction. I'm 99% sure your not locked on& not a problem with your equipment
When I first installed my manual dish - it was endless trial and error - even with a sat finder to get it locked on. Now i can do it in just a couple of minutes.
the sat finder beeping does not mean you are pointing eactly on it - its a matter of turing down the db's and fine tuning till they go up to max again - turning them down and reapeating the process.
If you are really struggling - -mh opwners are a friendly bunch - ask someone when you are on site - there are always manual dishes about, or pop into your caravn service/sales place and they will poss help you out.
have you got a built in signal finder in your sat box, that shows up on your tv screen?
that is all i use.
is there something blocking the signal, like a tree or even a branch of a tree?
im sure you know what you are doing, but im just trying to cover the things you might have missed?
i always start my sat dish off at 24 deg elivation and i use a compass to find the direction.
