When I bought my N+B from a well known N+B dealer in the North West, the Iveco owners book was in German and despite numerous attempts at the time I failed miserably to obtain an English version.
My delemah is that I don't know the "official" service intervals for the Iveco C60 17. Servicing every 12 months may be a rough guide but it would be nice to know the correct intervals/mileage.
That would be difficult to establish as last year it was carried out by BH's in Newark and they lost the service book and after having had to take it back because of a problem was told that the problem was caused because "the vehicle had not been serviced in a while". Much red faces and an apology from the service manager who then ordered "a full service at their expense" I have no idea what oil was used and no intention of returning to Newark. So no service book and a manual in German is all I have to go on. 20,000 kms seems about right but in the German book it mentions 40,000 kms but I've no idea in what context it refers to.
Was looking at a Hobby Sphinx on an Iveco Chassis. Was a mention of 20,000kM on Mineral and 40,000kM on Synthetic. Bit like VW's standard or Long Life oil Schedules.
The Iveco is fine, we have the 6 sp manual although I would have loved the auto. Get reasonable economy and so far has been totally reliable. I particularly like the payload - almost 1500kgs in our case and there is an option to upgrade the chassis by another 700kgs, however I don't know what is involved to achieve this.
Bit dissappointed with Iveco themselves as they have been pretty poor at customer relations. When asked where would I get an english copy of the manual I was told that if the dealer didn't supply then I couldn't have one - not what I expected.
Trev .we also had a problem with the same dealer in North West we tried several times to have them send us an English Version for the Iveco. we were able to do a good deal on the amount of 'Ford' manuals sent to us. however we phoned an Iveco dealer near by us and gave them our chassis number and were able to supply us with an English Version .
I know this thread is a bit old, but the OP seems to be an active poster so here goes:
Assuming you have the 3.0L engine as opposed to the older 2.8L, service intervals are:
Every 40,000km;
Change engine oil & filter, and fuel filter. Reduce to 30,000km if not using approved Iveco oil. Visual checks on brake fluid level, aux belts, fuel pre-filter for clogging, steering box cover, brake condition and handbrake travel.
Every 120,000km;
As above, plus: Change fuel pre-filter, gearbox oil, rear axle oil and clean breather, aux drive belts. Check steering column articulation and linkages, steering box fixing, check propellor shaft and UJ's.
Scheduled maintenance:
80,000km - Check airflow meter with Modus
240,000km - Change timing belt and tensioner, change tensioner for alternator belt. Change preheater glow plugs.
In case of low mileage:
Every 1 year: Change engine oil and filter.
Every 2 years: Change brake fluid.
Every 3 years: Change engine coolant.
Every 4 years: Change aux belts.
Every 5 years: Change timing belt.
