We tow a disabled scooter on a trailer, and would like to charge the battery using an inverter from the cigarette lighter in the front through a lead to the batteries in the scooter as we tow. Is this possible please.

Not the best way of doing it but it would work if you drive all night and all day as the scooter built in chargers are generally 8 or 12 hour chargers.
Suggest you don,t use the cigarette lighter socket.

If your scooter is 12 volts or has two batteries 12 volts each that you could disconnect from the scooter wiring and re-connect as a 12 volr parallel pair for charging then a Sterling B2B charger will get more charge in much faster??
