I'm having difficulty playing bbc iplayer or itv same, bbc state I havent got the right bandwidth to play and it just has those annoying little circlesevery 15 seconds. They adviseyou to download the programme but this takes hours and then theres a choice of bbc desktop or windows media. I have one lappy with xp and one with vista and media player, but whichever- I still lose it!!! Or it tells me this is already on your computer - so what am I doing wrong. (Have had some success but the memory doesn't work so well. By the way anyone know where I can get a HP Laptop battery. I have the serial no - is there sources other than HP who would charge the earth. The HP is such a superior to my acer, speaker on this hp are harman/kardon, no need for those V10's
Thanks, Wendy
Watching a tv programme requires a fast internet connection - the 'not enough bandwidth' statement tells you that your connection isn't fast enough.
Iplayer only works with broadband internet access so you won't be able to view programmes with a edge or 3G mobile internet connection.
If you are already trying to access using a broadband connection, I would try resetting your modem in the first instance.
If that doesn't work I would contact your ISP about your slow access.
Hope this helps.
Ana
Hi Wendy,
Ana is right. You need to be on a broadband connection. It is using BBC , ITV, Channel 4 iPlayers, etc, that is causing people to use up their monthly allowances. BT have already pinged me about going over my 10Gb allowance, but not penalised me yet.
When the message "You already have this on your computer" comes up, it means that the software is already there, and you just need to download the episode you wish to watch.
HTH,
Jock.
