I have just bought off Ebay an unlocked (originally O2) E160 modem and although it is supposed to work on a Mac there is no file to suggest how to do it. O2's website suggests using the CD that came in the box but there wasn't one in my box. I have emailed the seller but I am still waiting for him to get to back to me.

I have been searching the web for a driver but I am not having much luck would anybody be able to help me or point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Jan

Try just plugging it into the Mac and it should come up as a "hard Drive" on your desktop..click into it and the loader should load

Hope that helps.

Dave

It is there Dave but as I understand it I need drivers for it. When I click on it another window opens and show all the pc icons which obviously won't work.

Baldlybazza has got his email by now I expect but I found this in another (Linux) forum:

The major problem with these dongles, is the "ZeroCD" installation - When you first insert it, it appears as a CD (or USB mem stick) to the OS (be it Windows or Linux or whatever). On this "fake CD" is the Windows drivers that gets installed (if you have a Windows OS) and will on subsequent insertions of the modem be switched from "CD mode" to "Modem mode" by the driver.
