Can anyone give me advice on how to make a copy of a dvd(home video) on Vista. I've got Roxio on my XP but feel sure there is something built into Vista for making a copy of a CD or DVD.
Thanks to anyone who can advise.

I've got Roxio for XP and it's not much use for Vista. On reflection I should have waited for the next version but hey ho./ Anybody wanna buy an 8 track, 1 careless owner?

It is a while since I used Roxio but, yes, the always was a copy facility in it.
The main thing is to make sure it knows you are dealing with a DVD not a CD.
Then you have a choice as to wether to copy from the DVD to a DVD writer or, alternatively, to make an image of the DVD (ISO) to your hard disk which you can then copy to a DVD as often as you want.
Maybe a current Roxio user will come along and give you more precise instructions but look for the copy function.

Just seen Derek's post.
The best option might be to download Nero 9 form www.nero.com

Use DVD decrypter to rip it to your hard drive - it's free, just google it. Then use it to burn it to a blank DVD-r. It's actually very easy. Put "DVD decrypter tutorial" into google.
