Just spoken to the Acer warranty repair centre at Plymouth. They have been informed that they are closing down and all Acer support is moving to India !
So beware any one thinking of buying a new Acer.
Thanks for the info, I have an Acer laptop but won't buy another if that is the case. The reason, I did have to send my laptop to Plymouth for work under warranty. However I wouldn't fancy it going to India!
Just spoken to Acer again (yes it won't boot after 5 days - !) the call warranty/repair centre ("the engineers") is staying in Plymouth, but the call centre dealing with warranty/repairs is definitely moving to India. So you will speak to India and send it to Plymouth !
