I'm a confirmed blog-a-holic so don't miss many but, it's clear that many members don't know when new blog or episode has been posted unless they go searching - hence Frank's post:

Would it be difficult to add an alert feature somewhere on the main forum page so that new blog posts are highlighted ?

Griz,
Have you seen the window on the home page on the top lefthand side? Isn't this good enough?

p.s
View Franks post perhaps a counter on blogs to see how many times they are visted and whether it really is worthwhile posting them!

That's what I use to know if there are new blogs BUT, I have to go to that page deliberately. When I log on I am taken first to the forums page ( ie the one that you are reading this on) and, unless I go looking for blogs on the Home page, I don't see that section at all.

Ah I see, I always go to the home page after logging on and work from that, usually first going to "Your posts" to look for response to anything I have posted/contributed to, then to "New Posts." Hardly ever visit the forum page!

In support of this did anyone see this which I've quoted from another thread after having three goes to help Yoss find the blogs in a menu

yozz wrote:
It's helped me find it now Frank, but it is in an obscure menu option. Then it's above the shoutbox and below the chatroom and that is hardly encouraging new members to find and read it.

I did ask Nuke to alter the menu structure a while ago but he was reluctant
