Cannot see any reason why not.
For our last van (Merc Sprinter) we ran her on full synthetic from Halfords, own brand. Once a year Halfords had a "buy one get one free" on their own brand full synthetic so we stocked up when the price was right. But I would not use Mobil 1. Fantastic oil but totally OTT on price.

What year is it?
Does it have a Particulate filter (DPF)? (May need low SAPS oil)

You need to make sure you use the correct spec oil

For example, Mobil 1 may not be suitable for your Iveco if it has a DPF

I last bought Mobil 1a couple of years ago. It was really cheap in France.

hi ref engine oil,
As a rule of thumb its okay to go from fully synthetic to semi synthetic or bog std any old oil as its a lesser quality and heavier oil [thicker ]

But to go from semi synthetic to Fully synthetic is possible but you MUST first flush the engine of old oil , and beaware that fully synthetic cleans the piston rings/oil rings and valve steam seals so in a new engine no problem . BUT BEWARE in a old engine it will loosen it up and sound like abag of nails at first and will probably smoke/drink oil.

The only bebefit to using fully synthetic is quieter engine [ if your young that is and dont drive a transit] but the main reason is extended sevice intervals from yearly 8k to every 2 years 18k but a the oil is twice the price I dont see the reason.

We use good quality shell helix diesel from France at 20euro @ 5ltr semi synthetic in our old bessacarr 2.8idtd 2001 and it ran so smooth and quiet Razz Also in our new Renault 40000km we use the same and change evry year or 8k miles.
