Hi

I recently saw a thread that mentioned two programmes which recovered deleted files, can anyone point me in the right direction, as I can't find them in the forums.

Thanks

Graham

Hi Graham

This link has a few free programs, i've never used any of them
http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/collection/collid,1295-order,1-c,downloads/files.html

This link has further programs and information, again i've never used the programs so can't comment on them
http://lifehacker.com/393084/how-to-recover-deleted-files-with- free-software

I used a program a couple of years ago called something like "file recovery 6", and it worked well.

It's very important at this stage to minimise any writing/saving to disk, the files you deleted are still on the disk, it's their entry into the file systems index that has been removed, however because as far as the operating system is concerned; that space is now empty, saving other files could mean the files you want to restore are over written.
