Hi Tony

You will find that the thermostat is fitted inside the top hose !!

By the way do you have an overheating problem ? We had the same model for a few years and have a deal of experince with the beasts

Regards
The Yeti

hi there i have just bought a 1985/6 renault trafic autosleeper last night, i drove it home over 65/70 mile journey cruised all the way home at 60mph with no hiccups or anything, but when i got home i heard the water bubbling up i found the cap on the water filler bottle was slightly loose so tightened it up but still bubbled up and spilled out also the temperature guage is not working , could this be the thermostat being stuck, would that stop the guage from working? also where would i find the temp guage sensor? and is it an easy fix please help, i am pretty sure it is not the CHG as it would,nt have driven all that distance, would it?? sorry for so many questions but would appreciate any help as to cause of problem, and how to repair
