Hi

For the past couple of days, I get the message "new downloads ready for update etc" and I do this is in the normal manner. However, the thing will not complete. This is the wording of the message within the download window.

Initializing installtion...done
Initializing Microsoft .NET framework 3.5 service pack 1 and .NET framework 3.5 family update for .NET versions 2.0 through 3.5

Below that, the overall progress box never moves.

I cancelled the update the other day with a bugger it attitude, but it has come back!

Any ideas?

Russell

Go to:
Start/run/type winver then run, and it will tell you. From there you can tell if you need service packs 2 or 3 installing which may overcome your problem.
