I have a 400D with std, a 2x, + a couple of zoom lenses, the new one is for our lass, and as funds are extremely tight, we're just hoping to find another for her as cheap as possible, so we can at least save a little on the lenses, hence (must be canon)

Have you tried looking in local camera shops? Maybe those "Pound Converter" places? Pawnbrokers?
Have you tried the >> London Camera Exchange <<? I've just done a search, and got a 300D body only at £169, and plenty of others at less than £200. Don't know if they do mail order.
