Hi resident experts,

My lap top crashed and I have had to re-load Vista from the rescue disc! Now that was OK as I only had to follow the online instructions. Smile

I have had to download a few applications and the like (Flash player for example) and most things now work fine.....except......EMAILS! Sad

When I receive an email (like the one I got from MHF to confirm my provisional place for the golf weekend in October) the address and subject lines are all fine but there is no text in the message at all so I am unable to confirm my place. Shocked Confused Sad

Also I need to contact Macfee to reapply the and when I go to the online help I am unable to type any text into the subject box provided. Sad

I am sure the two things are connected in some way and that there is something simple (other than me Laughing ) that I need to download that will sort this out but my computer skills are not the best and I do not know how! Sad

Is there anyone who can help? Wink

Thanks

Keith

Thanks Richard for your reply. Smile

I have reset the password already and unfortunately this has not worked. Sad

I think it may have something to do with Javasript (whatever that is when it is at home?) as this appears in the bottom left hand corner of the page. Confused

Keith

I am not too familiar with Vista - which E-mail Prog are you trying to use - you can download the latest Java from http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp
Hope that helps

Thanks again,

I have downloaded Java (thanks for the link) and restarted my laptop and no different. Sad

I am only using my hotmail account. I have tried to open mail via Firefox and IE8 just in case the problem was linked to the operating system.

Thanks

Keith

Gary[/quote]

hi Gary,

No I still have the problem. Sad

Most of my emails are alright it seems that it is just the auto reply type. An example of this would be the emails confirming I have registered for a MHF rally. They in my in box no problem although the email has no content text at all. Confused Therefore I am unable to follow the link to confirm my place. I know rally co-ordinator will do this if I ask them. Wink

I did not have a problem until my lap top crashed. Other than this all seems to be well. I am not very technically minded more the point and shoot kind of user if you get my drift......

I would be grateful of any advice that may sort out this error. Smile

Thanks

Kith
