Slow this morning Kev - thought you would be back at me by now! Shocked Laughing Laughing

I couldn't remember the name, but have found it now. Wink

>> These << people are very good and have a huge range of cards to choose from.

Not sure I would buy the cheapest - none of them is expensive these days and it just ain't worth the risk to save a couple of bob. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

I've never had a problem with the Kingston ones, and they are usually very competitively priced. Quite fast too. Very Happy Very Happy

I'm using a Sandisk CF 2 card, is there any point in going to a CF 3 on a Canon 400D?

Not if the CF 2 card ain't busted! Confused

I might go for the faster one if I needed a new card anyway, but wouldn't dump a 2 just for the slight increase in performance of a 3 . . . which I bet you wouldn't be able to detect.

I've used this on-line store a lot. Their prices are good. Strangely enough they also sell memory cards through Amazon at a few pence cheaper.

FWIW: I always use Sandisk Compact Flash. Comes with a free program to rescue corrupted files should that happen.
