For those that don't know the mac comes with a wonderful integrated photo handling and editing application called iPhoto.
Photos can be organised into albums in a library but if your library is too big it becomes unwieldy and can slow the computer down a bit.
You can have as many Libraries as you want but only one can be open at a time. Whilst you can move photos between libraries by exporting and importing it is time consuming and you lose data such as titles, dates, keywords, and ratings.
I have come across this shareware application iPhoto Library Manager that lets you manage multiple libraries more efficiently - in fact it does what it says on the tin.
Recently I copied 1800+ photos from one library to a new one that I had created all within this program and was very happy with it. It was just one click and drag for me and about an hour of background computer time for the utility running all the apple scripts necessary to do the transfer.
It does cost $20 but you can download it for free and try it out first.
I thoroughly recommend it and you can get it and more info here Fatcatsoftware

Have you tried using "Automator App" to do this Frank, I personally haven't used it, but I know someone who thinks it's the bees knees.
Biglol
Is that a photoshop add on?
I looked up 'Automator App' on version tracker and that's all I could find
