If you already have the monitor, keyboard and mouse etc. (not supplied in that deal) then it should be a good deal - they always seem to get "Best Buy" ratings in mags like "Computer Shopper"
That is extremely good value and most of the components are reasonably up to date.
In fact it's a fantastic deal
PS. Vista is no problem and when you update to 7 it will be even better.
The only catch at the moment is that nobody knows if there will be an upgrade facility with 7. It may require a clean install meaning you will have to save all data and settings then reinstall them separately!!!

I try and state simple facts in a nice way.
Not saying whether it's good or not but making a few observations, although i would resist the temptation to buy any computer just now, and wait until windows 7 comes with it.
The processor is pretty good. £125.00
it has all the components that are expected on a desktop base unit no more no less.
with a 3 year warrenty you can't go far wrong, assuming the warrenty covers everything, all components.
the graphics card is aimed at the oem mid level market, which i don't think would be a problem.
it uses a 32 bit operating system, at this time and going forwards i would get 64 bit.
i'd forget about the upgrade to win7, upgrading operating systems is no where near as good as a clean install, regarding performance and stability, in reality you'll probably never bother any way.
unfortunately it doesn't state who makes the motherboard or onboard components, they could be very good or very bad, (but it has the 3 year warrenty). same for memory, dvd writer etc.
to buy the components would cost me between 340 and 430 (inc vat etc) depending on whether getting cheap parts or very good parts. but i haven't included an operating system and it would take me going on half an hour to assemble it
of the people i know with medion computers, most are happy.
the fact that the graphics has its own memory is good.
bottom line; the cpu is good, the graphics ok, i would avoid the operating system, everything else is unknown (could be good or bad), windows 7 is worth waiting for.
