Hi

sounds like whoever is providing your email service is replacing their email server with a new one, they must have decided to disallow access while they move the old servers information store to the new server, this can be a lengthy operation. the best way to do this so that users are not interupted is to bring the new server online while the old one is still working, then migrate the mailboxes with both servers live, users will connect to the old server but if their mailbox has been moved, they will automatically be redirected to the new one, once all mailboxes are hosted by the new server the old server can be retired. i can't see why they have done it the way they have but i'm sure they have their reasons, i also would have expected a provider to use an email cluster and/or front end email servers, this would provide load balancing and resilience and users would never be aware of any changes regarding the information store.

If your ISP is AOL I can confirm it was down for me for emails yesterday morning for a while.

Have had 'Launcher has stopped working' User Account Control -Uniblue SpeedupyourPC2009. continue. UNINSTALLED UNIBLUE. Opening Windows Mail have to give my users name and password - done that and got 67 emails from ME Exclamation Believe this has been caused by UNIBLUE, so beware. my computer guy will give me a right ticking off, but I also have OBERON games that I cannot uninstall they came by way of the grandson putting his sticky fingers to my lappy. Its all back to normal now except for the jumping curser, this post has gone well Very Happy Very Happy but don't hold your breath slowly slowly catchy monkey-got there Laughing Laughing
