Hello All,
I was thinking of buying a MULTIMO DISH to replace my 60cm dish that I mount on a tripod, which I find awkward to store in the van.
I realise the footprint would be similar. Has anyone got a Multimo and what do you think of it?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Regards,
sennen523.
got multimo just replaced with dome, but can reccomend a multimo used one for a year inside van on its base and outside on tripod with ease ,once get used to finding the satellites
My son did a side by side comparison test with a Multimo and a Lidl suitcase dish. To our surprise, the Lidl dish gave a slightly better signal strength. A lot of difference in price too.
The thing about the Multimo is not just that it has a good area of reception (I'm 99% certain that it's a lot better than one of the "suitcase" type dishes - which we also sell) but its versatile mounting options make it very easy to use and quick to set up.
You don't need a tripod, you can just put it on a table, on the ground or even inside your motorhome in certain circumstances. There's a magnetic mount, a suction mount and, if you do want to use a tripod or pole, there's a bracket which attaches to the tripod / pole and into which the Multimo easily slots.
A lot of people put their Multimo through a window in the roof and mount it up there, out of sight and out of the way.
I have a Multimo satellite dish. Can anyone advise on how to get my dish checked as it's not picking up a signal, it is old but worked perfect last year
Excellent piece of kit always managed a signal in the UK, last year on a CL on shore of Loch Eribol, no tv, no phone the multimo pulled in a strong signal bungied to a fencepost.
Would recommend the suction mount, strong suction so securely sticks dish to side of MH or roof.

we use one never had a problem getting satellite , bought a double suction handle which sticks anywhere to mount the multimo on, going France in 7 weeks so we will see how it performs there ,
as said its easy to stick through the roof vent onto the roof out of sight.
